These files are movies from a Nikon Coolpix 990 digital camera. They show the operation of my latest prototype ditch light flasher circuits that I built in 2005. This circuit employs the newer Low Drop Out (LDO) voltage regulators and Schottky rectifiers. The LEDs start showing at 3.0 volts, the ditchlights are visible at 4.0 v. The circuit uses filtered DC current, and they are NOT DCC! Non-filtered DC causes the flashing appearance to be less realistic.
These movies are '.mov' extension and are 12 megabytes in size. They download in about 15 seconds with DSL.
I will show the installation process on another page. If you know of a more realistic ditchlight circuit, I want to see it!
